SOCIA  is a collective project , a team of two artists brothers Igor Spassky (b.1992, Melitopol, Ukraine)  & Arthur Spassky (b.1994, Melitopol, Ukraine)  created in April 2018 in Kiev , Ukraine.

The practice of SOCIA project team members — Arthur and Igor Spassky — focuses on identifying the balance between spraypaint culture, music and its representation in the gallery space. In their musical–performative videos they initiate the process of materialization of sound, bringing it to a graphic form. In this practice the bodies of artists serve as conductors in the chain of sound–ear–body–hand–spray(brush)–surface (paper/canvas/wall). The balance of dance plastics in conjunction with specially selected or composed music transforms into paintings on surfaces.

Igor & Arthur Spassky are strongly influenced by their graffiti, street art, piano , breakdance , Hip Hop and classical painting backgrounds.
